I think all those TUBE cork grease are CRUD. Actually, some are better than others. I like Doctor's Products Cork Grease and I also use Anhydrous Lanolin which you can buy at any Pharmacy. Best, mw

Useless. See Doc Products or get Alisyn through your supplier or direct from Ferree's. Absolutely no comparison.

The stick greases, and pretty well everything else on the market dries to the stiffness of soap, 'claiming space' that overcompresses the cork so that it loses resilience, and also making the joint more DIFFICULT to asemble. &/also damageds the structure of the cork &/or permeates the cork to make the glue lose adhesion.

Is Hydrous Lanolin the same as anhydrous? My pharmacy only has hydrous.

NO .... notice my capital letters .... it is NOT.
Call the OTHER Pharmacies in town or go to an ON-LINE Pharmacy. Wal-Mart Pharmacy will sell it by the pound.
