I have a Chapelain wood clarinet (made in France) and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me more about it. It's numbered and the man at the music store said he'd never seen anything like it before.
Any help or information you can provide is appreciated! Thanks. ~Deana~

... what does this refer too? is the clarinet made of a different material or a have key system different from those we recognize? OR is it simply a name that your repairman didn't recognize?

In what way had he never seen anything like it before, Deana? That could be taken a number of different ways : I mean, is Chapelain a fabulous obscure clarinet maker or is the horn gawd-awful, no good, very bad stinky?
What's the number on it?
