Hi,
I am finally allowed a wooden clarinet, but have no idea what sort of instrument I should be looking at. I am 14, I have just taken my grade 5 and I have been playing for 6 years. I am currently playing a plastic Selmer clarinet. Can anybody recomend anything that would be sutible?
Thanks,
Claire

Selmer, Leblanc, Buffet, or Yahama.

Do you want an intermediate level instrument or a professional level? All four of the above make a wide range of instruments.

Do you want to buy new or used?

Before buying any instrument, play it to see if it suits you. Note that two different instruments of the same brand and model may play differently. So just because one does not suit you, don't cross that brand and model off your list until you have tried several.
