Not as easy as it looks since the picture URL is buried in an AOL setup:

There are four more photos that I haven't had time to do as yet. I'll post them tomorrow, I hope!

I thought R13s were after 1956?

If you search this board, you will find extensive information on this older "R-13" designation. It was simply a number used by the importer to distinguish different levels of Boehm system clarinets, ie basic Boehm, full Boehm, and models in between. It is NOT the same as the R-13 designation used by Buffet in the 1950s to distinguish their new poly-cylindrical bore design. So if someone tells you they have a 1940s R-13, they are referring to one with the importer's marketing designation on the later poly-cylindrical bore that Buffet assigned the model name of R-13 to.

Which, of course, is confusing as all get-out! Personally, I think that Buffet picked up the Carl Fisher designation when the French decided to label their clarinets after Carre designed the poly-cylindrical design since the R-13 was already known via Fisher (and was a popular model) - but it's just speculation on my part.

Thanks for posting these catalog pages! Now I know what model I'm playing( other than an "old Buffet"8>).
