 Do cold and flu viruses stick to your reeds?

I imagine that cold and flu viruses stick to our reeds, but for how long? If it's for more than 24 hors and you use the same reed and mouthpiece and you have a cold, you are putting the virus back into your body. I'm sure there are several doctors in the house that can answer me.
