Who are your favorites? I’ll get the ball rolling with no list being complete without Martin Frost and Mate Bekavac.
So we’re clear, great artists like Harold Wright (my favorite) may not qualify, simple playing the classics with virtuosity—as if this wasn’t itself amazing.
I’m talking about people who “quadruple tongue” (is that a thing?) and make up fingerings for notes that make C7 look like their low notes.
Perhaps Corrado Guiffredi also belongs on this list.
