Does anyone have experience with the choral piece "Medley from Jekyll and Hyde" published by Cherry Lane Music and distributed by Hal Leonard? I've been invited to play the clarinet obligato shown on measures 4 through 9 of the SATB edition and told to feel free to play more. How interesting or important is the tenor sax/clarinet/flute book in the instrument pak, especially the portions for clarinet? I can't find a Youtube or similar performance online. The instrumental pak for the full combo costs $40. I don't want to buy it if it only gives me a little more music. The director apparently doesn't want the full combo.

The clarinet part in the “Medley from Jekyll & Hyde” (Cherry Lane/ Hal Leonard, arr. Ed Lojeski) is fairly minimal—mostly obligato lines and light doubling. The Instrumental Pak adds some color but is not central to the performance, so unless your director wants a fuller combo, the clarinet book alone may not justify the $40 purchase.
