I have two weeks to a concert with a 49 measure clarinet solo - Blue Shades - and my left little finger is turning numb. Many doctors appointments this week. So far its work.
Question - is it panic time? Do I rewrite bits of the solo? Do I let the conductor know and let him worry about it? I'm leaning towards daily practice with re-writing as a back up. Our conductor and section don't need that worry before the concert.
I would appreciate hearing your experiences or thoughts. Thanks!

I have no medical expertise, but I have read Jeremy denk's book and heard of bad finger injuries from people I know. You should probably just rest it more than usual and try some of the recovery therapies just in case.
Hope your finger is fine!
