 reed change

I had a dream last night about a clarinet soloist who became frustrated with the reed he was performing on and stopped in the middle of the piece to make a change. While the conductor explained to the audience how things like that can happen, the soloist added a second reed to his mouthpiece on top of the first one and clamped the ligature over the pair of them. When he resumed playing, he sounded a lot better.
