Hello,
I got a 1911 (s/n 911H1) Buffet in A that is missing original barrel.
Both the bell and the upper joint are stamped "LP". The previous owner told me he contacted Buffet (years ago) and they told him the clarinet was made around 1911 and the LP was probably stamped by the importer to indicate 440 Hz pitch.
The rings on the bell and lower joint look different from the rings on the modern Buffets.
On the pictures, the 66mm barrel is from a newer Buffet and the difference is visible.
The clarinet actually plays: it sounds good and tunes OK with the 66mm, as far as I could tell because it is leaking and not really playable.
I would like to get a matching barrel, if possible, not sure what length it should be.
In any case, now that I know how it sounds and tunes, I am going to have it restored.

The photos would not attach to the previous message.
Had no problems disassembling- all the screws came out easily (after soaking with oil);
see a few posts that move and will need reinforcement, tone holes are in great shape - on the lower joint they look like they do not needed re-surfacing.
The doughnut key has a cork pad, not sure if I should use cork pad too or get a flute pad for it.
