I live in Sarasota where Ken was president of the Jazz Club a number of years ago. I heard the sad news very soon after he was gone, only a few weeks after his last performance in my area. I remember attending his Benny Goodman tribute concert at the Capital Theater in Concord, New Hampshire many years ago before moving to FL.

Ken's spirit during his health issues in his later years should be an example to all of us. What a shame that such a wonderful human being and consummate musician should be taken from us so early.
