Asking for a little help establishing the tempo for
the solo and evenness. Would like to use the side trill key for B’s but last tempo
orchestra took it was awkward at the slower tempo. Just want to find the correct “feel” for the triplet pattern coming after the tie .

“Asking for a little help establishing the tempo for the solo and evenness.”
Well, it’s not up to you to establish the tempo, is it? Just prepare for whatever tempo is taken by practicing the passage(s) in several tempi. If you’re unfamiliar with the piece, get a recording and listen so you can get it in your ear.
“Would like to use the side trill key for B’s…”.
No, don’t do that. That’s a cheap way to negotiate the passage, not to mention it sounds uneven, unmatched in tone and generally lousy. It’s really not that difficult to play with a standard B natural fingering. Practice it slowly to make it smooth.
“Just want to find the correct “feel” for the triplet pattern coming after the tie .”
Huh? Feel? The correct “feel” is to play it in rhythm, of course. There is no substitute for that. It might help for you to practice the passage with your metronome beating eighth notes (subdividing) for further reinforcement of the beat.
