Jim Ivy (Round Rock, Austin, et al)

Did any of you know clarinetist Jim Ivy? He had worked very diligently to get some early/trad jazz going in the Round Rock, TX and Austin areas.

He had a bachelor's and masters in music education and taught for years before the jazz endeavors.

We'd contact each other once or twice a year to see how things were going, but I just found out he passed away about a year ago (shortly after I last corresponded with him).

I was curious if anyone here knew him or had stories they'd like to share via e-mail.

He was a neat guy and I'll miss him and his contributions to the music scene.
