 Quartet similar to Grundman Caprice
Author: smill01

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere, but many links here are now out-of-date. Can anyone recommend some clarinet quartets (3 + 1) similar to Clare Grundman's Caprice? 20th or 21st century classical, moderate difficulty, tuneful.

Thanks.

If similarity is what you’re looking for, he also wrote a Bagatelle for quartet.

Wider quartet repertoire may be off-topic given your question, but the options are huge, from endless arrangements of varying quality to pieces written for the combination. June Emerson’s wind music website is a good place to get a sense of what’s out there, and YouTube/Spotify will give a flavour of what it sounds like!
