 Metal Pierre Dumont clarinet
Author: CVBandMom

Hello,
We are cleaning out my mother-in-law’s storage and came across a vintage metal clarinet, and I’m trying to get more information about it.

It has “Pierre Dumont” engraved around the bell. Made in England. #7837.
It also has the word “Coast” engraved on the mouthpiece.

The keys have some green tarnish on them in places, so I’m guessing it might be real silver?

Any thoughts? I can’t seem to find a year on it.

Thanks!

Also, I saw green oxidation on nickel-plated instruments; the silver plating usually gets brownish tint...
