Debussy - 2 Arabesques clarinet part
Author: donald

Hi there,
For years I've played/taught the Debussy 2 Arabesques from a Durand edition transcribed by Alfred Piguet. I prefer this version to some of the others available.
Some years ago (around 2001, so i guess 23 years ago) the clarinet part was swallowed up into the ground never to be seen again (ie lent to a student), and in a hurry was forced to make a clarinet part by photocopying the score and cutting the clarinet part out and gluing it on to an A4 sheet...
I just pulled out my music for the first time in about 15 years to prepare these for a performance in a couple of weeks... and find my eyes are now very unenthusiastic at the prospect of have to scan this miniature sized score while playing in front of a room full of people staring at me.
Any chance someone has the clarinet part to this edition? I bought this music about 30 years ago, so I suppose it wouldn't kill me to buy a new copy (if I can find one, last time I saw the Luyben crew they said they couldn't get it).
My other option is to blow it up to A3 size, but then my music stand will look a bit like Dennis Taylor (I love that guy, but the glasses were NOT sexy).

Just in case anyone is interested- the edition now published by Lauren Publications (Vista, CA) is a reprint of the 1912 Durand Edition (which has been reprinted many times, but I have been told is no longer available from Durand).

I would like to get the parts for those Arabesques, but I don't see any mention on the internet of a Lauren Publications in Vista, California.

The arrangement is available on IMSLP (I think arabesque 1 only)

"but I don't see any mention on the internet of a Lauren Publications in Vista, California." that's odd, because I didn't just make it up to be annoying.

Donald, never occurred to me that you were trying to be annoying.
It has occurred to me that my internet skills may be subpar :)
