A friend found a clarinet in his sister’s estate. The manufacturer label says “Buffet Crampon Parts.” (See pictures.) It seems to be complete. I am still waiting to hear back about what model it is, the pictures are too blurry. Why is it marked parts? Is it mismatched serial numbers from various damaged or defective clarinets?

These Buffet clarinets (Buffet B10 to E12) were made by Schreiber in Nauheim, Germany for Buffet to fill the gap in Buffet's lineup. The logo they used on the case (and later on the clarinets themselves) isn't the full Buffet logo and also won't have 'Made in France' underneath it.
The same clarinet was also offered for a short while in the same case as the B&H Regent II and had a B&H Regent bell (around the time B&H stopped production of oboes and clarinets in the UK), then it became the Buffet B12. Before all that, it was the Evette.
