Curious what storage solutions people use for all their gear. Currently using a bait and tackle box but I am looking for other options. Something functional that isn't just a messy drawer or box.

Are you asking how you store your gear at your home or studio or how you haul what you might need at a rehearsal or performance?

For concerts/rehearsals I carry what you may call a plane carry-on size bag which has anything I may need to do quick repairs on the spot. Also carries my spare clarinet, which goes under my chair. I have a bunch of other stuff (spare swab, mouthpiece cap, wind clips, etc.) in the car at all times.

I'm guessing James, that you're after something with suitable compartments to store everything in an organized way. There are tray shaped plastic containers with partitioning that one can slot together oneself to somewhat creat the compartment sizes one wants. Another thought would be those aluminum camera cases that come with a block of foam scored into squares to allow for easy cutting out of the desired spaces. Those could both hold MPs securely and have little boxes set in for other stuff. Not sure whether you're thinking travel storage or home storage. I presume both as you're presently using a tackle box.

I have 2000+ barrels, 1500+ bells, 1000+ ligatures and 900+ mouthpieces and carry them all in a trunk so I can switch them at will during a concert as I generally use a minimum of 200 mouthpieces, 100 barrels and 50 in an hour and i need ALL of them right there at my disposal. And as for reeds, I have a vanload of them and have a separate cabinet on wheels for the 5000 I need just to get me through a concert. The struggle is real I can tell you!

I think they're coming out soon with a new Terminator movie " Clash of the Clarinets"....They have metal endoskeletons over wooden ectoskeletons ..... I'm not sure mankind is going to survive this one.

I don't do mouthpiece refacing at all - I'd only recommend that work to someone who does it full time and who knows exactly what they're doing.
