does anybody know of any novelty clarinet peices featuring a solo clarinet that would be approiate for me to play with my high school band?

Immer Kleiner (which means Ever Smaller)
You start with an entire clarinet. As you go through the music, one piece at a time is removed, starting with the bell. By the time you get to the end, you are playing on only the mouthpiece.

Yes, an oldie and an earlier favorite for ad-libbing by us cats. Not a "novelty" unless there is another! I'll look in my archives, I even believe I can remember the bridge!!, necessary for a jam chorus!! Don

Its listed under "Swing Tempos" by R Rodgers in Db in an old tabulation [dont know where it came from] I found. As I "sing it", it seems to be in chromatic-descending, when I break out a horn, I'll see if I can play it. I believe it is from a BDWY musical, see if your library has any info re: composer or show tunes. Don

is it the lover that is a clarinet duet which is fast and has more notes than you can shake a stick at?The one i am familiar with is a clarinet duet with a band accompaniant
