On 2/27/24 I lost my Buffet Greenline Bb clarinet in Brooklyn, NY on the Nevins St subway platform. Someone took it in the 20 minutes before I made it back to retrieve it. It has a Ton Kooiman Etude 3 ergonomic thumb rest so it should be pretty easy to spot. If anyone sees it listed anywhere or has any info I would really appreciate it!!! I had the clarinet for 12 years so it has a real sentimental value to me.

You can do some detective work on your own canvassing pawn shops in the Nevin St. area.
So sorry to hear of your loss

Did you check with the subway's lost & found department?

Good advice. I'd try to make a police report- if found, it would be easier to prove that is your clarinet (if you have the paperwork).

Thanks for the ideas, yes I made a police report and an MTA lost and found report. Calling up pawn shops right now.

What was the s/n? Maybe one of the forum members will spot it on eBay, reverb or FB.

I agree with all of the above sometimes if you have not reported the loss, sometimes down the track it can end up at the police auctions.

I left my Couf saxophone in the cloakroom of the University dining hall once. When I went to security to retrieve it, I was asked how much it was worth. I cringed when I gave the amount. I think the implication was that I should be more careful with a valuable instrument. I remember another time when I put my excess books in the rack underneath the desk, and then forgot them. I again was able to retrieve them the next day.
