I buy woodwinds from auctions and fix them up if necessary and sell them on Reverb. Mostly student models. It’s my retirement hobby as I’m an old doubler. Once in awhile I’ll buy a vintage horn that I can’t resist. I just got a Thibouville-lamy Legion O’ Honneur JTL series Dubois et Fortis 1660. It was listed as a flute! Opened the case and had to try it out. Didn’t even oil it or clean it. Wow! what a tone and super key response. I’m 77 years old and want this to go to a real player who will appreciate this clarinet. When I croak, my kid will just donate my prizes that are left. It’s a 6 ring with very interesting full Boehm keywork. The wood is great and the keys don’t show much wear. I don’t know what to sell this for as I can’t find any models the same. I i’d the model from an old catalog. I’m loading some casual (not sale) pictures, Keep in mind I haven’t cleaned or oiled it yet. It’s not in the original case. Probably the old one fell apart. Any ideas or comments would be really appreciated.
