Howdy Bboard!
I came across part of the Joseph Genna Staccato Workbook through a friend but it's only up to 'step 4.' I've googled around looking for it but haven't had much luck. Someone even mentions that it exists somewhere on the Clarinet Bboard but I haven't found it through the search!
Anyone have any leads? I found the approach really effective and want to see how the book continues.

Question: It is not clear to me from his instructions if he thinks you should take a 1 minute break between the repetitions of the Speed Variations. Anyone have insight to this point? I am inclined not to take the minute rest there.

Hi Glenn. I read it as saying yes, rest the minute between repetitions of the speed variations.
Per 6): "Now play the speed variation of step one. Continue to advance the speed, always resting one full minute each time you change the setting. "
Per 9): "Continue to rest one full minute between exercises, and now go backwards toward step one, playing only once each speed variation at the highest speed recorded in your diary."

Thanks Philip! I missed those two sentences you point. Guess I read too fast. I am very impressed by this book so far!

I have to give credit to Dr. Janet Averett of San Jose State University; she is the person who gave me those PDFs.
