I am currently playing Dolce and find them a little "restrictive", for the lack of a better description. Dolce run about 1/2 grade softer comparing to Vandoren BB.
Want to try different Pilgerstorfer reeds, hope I can get some feedback before ordering.
thanks

yes. I use 3.5's- which for me are similar in strength feel to vandoren 3. but with better volume, consistency, response, and sound. try them you won't regret.

The Morre cut Pilgersdorfer have turned out to be the best reed I have come across in years..

I have tried them, but I prefer the Dolce. They are both great reeds though. For me, the Morre feels to be a stronger (harder strength cut). Sometimes it feels either brighter, or clearer.
I am not sure what you mean by restrictive with the Dolce. Depending on what you mean, and your embouchure, personal likes, etc, I think that the Morre might fit the bill of what you are looking for.
Depending on the Dolce strength you have and the Morre strength you are looking for, I might be open to trading a couple of reeds with you. However, I think you might very well be happy getting a box of them, they are great reeds.

Yes, they have been my preferred reeds for the last few years. I previously used V12s, then I discovered Pilgerstorfer Dolces and for a while used a mix of the two. Experimenting with my first box of 6 Morres, for me they offered a wider dynamic range without compromising the quality of sound, and they were very consistent.
That’s been my experience since, and I found I was getting a much higher proportion of concert quality reeds than I’d ever experienced before. There’s a caveat though. Around the time Pilgerstorfer switched to regular boxes of 10 rather than 6, I bought 2 boxes, and for the first time I found them quite inconsistent. It left me worried that their quality standards had slipped, perhaps as sales have increased. I’ve bought more since then with more success, so hopefully fully not, but I still feel I’m not getting the proportion of outstanding reeds that seemed to be possible before.
Nevertheless, well worth a try.

Thanks a lot to everyone who replied- ordered 3.5 and 3.5+, together with a box of Dolce so I will have a chance to compare them directly.
I understand that everyone will have different experience with reeds (or a MP), depending on their embouchure, playing habits, etc.

I alternate them with Leuthner French cut. The sound has more heft for me than Dolces. On any given day, one brand will play better than the other because of humidity and the accoustics of the hall.

Thanks to everyone who replied.
My teacher (a renowned musician) thinks I sound too bright on Leuthner French cut and prefers me playing Dolce reeds. He did say that "every brand will have good and bad reeds", and that it is possible to find a good sounding reed in every brand.
Getting Morre reeds next week; will need some time to evaluate them- again, I do understand that reed choices are very player-dependent.

Inspired by this thread I ordered a trial pack at Thomann's. The Rondo and Dolce reeds impressed me with their easy response and nice sound. The Morre and Orchestra were more difficult to control. On this moment I would prefer the Dolce.

I tried some dolce's a while back- did what they said on the tin- they play very warm and sweet sounding. the 3.5's I got felt like vandoren blue box 2.5's- they seem to run very soft. Apart from that they are nice if you get the right strength, but the Morre's have much more flexibility in terms of timbre and dynamics.
