 The B18 Crampon clarinet

I've never heard of the B18 before. Why did Buffet create a 2nd student model? Is it an improvement over the B12? When did the B18 first hit the market? I see new ones for sale on that auction site as well as used ones on Reverb.

I just don't understand how I missed this one for so long.

Buffet offer several odd model designations that do not appear in US catalogues. They are mostly the same well-known instruments with different levels of packaging and presentation.

I've never seen nor heard of Buffet B18 clarinets until I saw the post on here yesterday. I've only ever known the B10 (rationalised/budget model from the late '90s), the B12 (which replaced the plastic Evette and B&H Regent II in the mid '80s) and the B13 (A B12 with LH Ab/Eb lever).
