Hi,
The below suggestions will clearly not work for some case.
If the foam does not compress. Likely the lining will either be a plywood frame or moulded plastic. If it is plywood using a blunt kitchen knife to seperate the lining from the case shell may work. Then dremel back the plywood frame from the rear of the lining to allow fitting the clarinet lengths. Or glue in place further ply to suit the clarinet
