 Cartellieri & a freebie

Has anyone noticed the recent spate of publications of the works of Antonio Casimir Cartellieri (1772-1807)?

Quartet no 1: Edition Ebenos (2022) clarinet and string trio
Quartets 1-4: Accolade Verlag (2022)

Concerto no 3: Trio Musik Edition (2022) piano reduction

The first thing you will notice about the concerto is that is is missing the sublime Adagio which interrupts the last movement in Dieter Klöcker's recording. (No need to go in to that!) Recently I was able to identify that Adagio as the slow movement from Johann Gottfried Arnold's Cello Concerto op.3. I suspect that Klöcker discovered the viola version in the Andre Archive. It suits the clarinet perfectly. Here is a new edition - score and parts - for you to download free from the Historical Clarinets website:

Just scroll down a bit to find the download.

Enjoy!
