On the Clarinet side of my world.
Ridenour Clarinet Products and Wm Thomas Ridenour picked out a matched set (A & Bb) of his Brand New Lyrique Aurea Clarinets. Not only do they look beautiful, Silver Plated Keys with Gold Posts, they play like a dream! Warm, Dark and Euro-Sounding, Without a doubt the best designed, playing clarinets on the market. Sent in a beautiful custom logo ProTec double case, but seen here in my Marcus Bona Triple Case, sharing room with my Eb.

Their 570C horn is 2nd to none.
While I was quite disappointed by their previous Bb & A models, it seems that Ridenours have meanwhile fixed those QC flaws.
Their Homage mpc is also excellent!

Thanks for posting this. When did this model join the Ridenour line up? The recordings on his website sound nice, based on what you can hear from a few Rose etudes etc. It seems like they are going for the sweet spot of having the dynamic range of the Libertas, but darker, richer and sweeter, without being overly stuffy or covered. Would love to get my hands on some. But not likely!

I just picked up an Aurea Bb clarinet last month myself! I haven't played in nearly 20 years. (I used to post here 20 years ago under "David Kinder", but that username was taken.)
Kinda glad I saw that Ken's clarinet set also did not have gold plated rings, but silver plated. I was wondering if I got slighted with some cheaper version of the Aurea or not! lol.
I did replace the thumb rest with a silver-plated one with a loop for a neck-strap though.
