Hi all,
I am looking at the three version of the piece on IMSLP:
1. Peters edition- seems to have all the articulations written but the scan is of bad quality;
2. Breitkopf und Härtel - also seem to have all articulations written but bad scan quality as well;
3. Maurizio Tomasi edition- has the best scan/print quality but seems to be missing articulations present in other two versions.
Can anyone advise if there is a free PDF version that has both good scan/print quality and also has all the articulations?
If nothing is available, I will need to write the missing articulations in.
Thanks

Hi Peter,
Thanks for replying to my post- that is great info on the music.
The version I got is the same (mostly) as the one in the link (except it is for the A, not basset horn).
My understanding is that in the times it was composed, the performer would determine articulations (and dynamics).
Later, print houses (like Peters) would write articulations they though would be in style and manner consistent with the composer's.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
I do recall hearing from someone that a few composers wrote basic melody and accompaniment and had other people to arrange for an orchestra (supposedly, Prokofiev wrote everything like that and had someone else to write transposed parts for the winds).
