 Old Riffaults ("X5")
Author: Bill

I've always assumed the old rubber blanks marked to the right of the table "X5" are old Riffaults. They don't say "France" or have any other markings. Asking because i come across so many of them and am curious just as a matter of mpc history.

Yes, they are made by Riffault. They usually have a somewhat higher upper baffle, and the original facing is seldom playable. But they can be decent refacing candidates. The most common Riffault facing types are 2V, N4, X5 and G8. N4s and G8s are my favorite ones. These may or may not have 'France' stamped on the left side of the table.
