Hi all, I have tried putting what I thought was the serial number (350R1) into the https://www.buffet-crampon.com/en/serial-number-search/ website but nothing comes back. Any thoughts on how old this clarinet could be? I think it must be pre R13
Seems my atyachment pics are too large to post

I don't think 350R1 matches any numbering scheme that Buffet used. 1R350 would have been 1924. In 1902 they used both R350 and 350R. Are you sure about the final 1?

I can't confirm this, but I've heard that Buffet would sometimes mark an "A" or a "1" after the serial number is there was accidentally a duplicate. Given how confusing the serial numbers were at this time and given how many instruments they made over the years no doubt there are quite a few of these duplicate serial number horns floating around. Given this I think the 1902 date is a pretty safe guess.
Pictures would help confirm this though. You need to open the pictures in some app like Paint 3D if you have windows and scale them down until the file is under 2mb. If using a phone just take a picture from slightly further away and crop it down. That usually works for me.

Sorry I gave misleading information. Google used to come up with the clarinetperfection list as its top pick, but now for some reason it offers this one, which is not as good:

I never noticed that until now. clarinetperfection.com isn't on many search engine results recently unless you add clarinetperfection.com in the search.
