A bit of a strange question, but does anyone know the make/model of the wristwatch that Benny Goodman used to wear? It’s difficult to tell from photographs, but I figured someone might have an idea.

Try the Facebook group, The Benny Goodman Appreciation Society. They collect scads of info on Goodman. Goodman's rival, Artie Shaw, was an inveterate collector of expensive watches, like the Philippe Patek. He boasted that he was making enough money at the peak of his career to buy a new Patek each week. He had so many, they attracted a thief, who stole his whole collection.

I've been looking at photos of Benny and he's wearing different watches during the course of his career. So you might need to be more specific with your question! In a photo from 1934 he's wearing a very slender, rectangular watch which was the style at that time. A photo from about ten years later shows him wearing a round watch. Although he may not have been a collector like Shaw he likely had many watches!
