Based on the serial number in the attached picture, what would the year be on this R13 Buffet clarinet?
In the photo the clarinet is stamped;
R13
D102029
MADE IN FRANCE
Thanks!

That's a fake R13 made in China, It's not even made of wood. Get a refund for it. Charge back your credit card if you have to.

I agree. R13s are not labeled that way or made of that material.

A genuine Buffet (as well as the beginner and student level clarinets made for Buffet) won't have all that info laser etched on the back of the lower joint below the thumbrest or a serial number beginning with 01 - they only carry the serial number just above the tenons. And no R13 is made from brushed plastic - the only composites some R13s are made from are the Greenline ones and they have a shiny finish.
The only place you'll see R13 stamped on a genuine R13 is on the back of the barrel and the bell. Although not always as older R13s don't have the model number anywhere on them.
See attachment of a genuine Buffet serial number - the number font is specific to Buffet.
