Is there any interest in a clarinet like this? Is it saleable?"
It looks like earlier Buffets made for European market, had an "F" prefix and came with 65mm barrels. The USA models did not have a prefix and came with 66mm barrels.
The latest Buffets do not have the prefix and come with two barrels, 66mm and 65mm.
You may try to contact Buffet (USA or France) directly and see what they say.
IMHO, if it tunes well to 440Hz (w/ barrel pulled 1-2 mm) and is in tune within itself, I do not see a problem.
Although, about a year ago I was offered a RC Prestige that had an F prefix (from early 2K years) and that one had throat notes out of tune (very high).
So it depends on the particular instrument.
Being able to tune to 442 can be beneficial when playing in halls/churches that are not heated well (in winter time), at least at the beginning of the rehearsal or concert when the instrument is still cold- it will tune to 440.
