There seems to be 2 stories going around (both from reputable sources, so may both have been true at some point)
- F model clarinets exactly the same as non F, just sold with 1mm shorter barrels...
- F model sold with shorter barrels AND fine tuned slightly differently at the end of the manufacturing process.
Either way, there are lots of players using F models clarinets at A=440 (just with a longer barrel).
