From time stamp 39:18 to 40:14, Andreas Ottensamer in the Berlin Philharmonic plays the rapid, kinetic figurations in R. Shankar's second Concerto for Sitar and orchestra. One more clarinet excerpt to add to our collection. See second hit on page.

Seabreeze: Do you know John Mayor's Indo-Jazz Fusions. They were played and recorded in the late 60s and early 70s. The clarinetist on them is my great friend Tony Coe. John Mayor was a British Classical player of Indian descent.

No, I know the collaborations between alto sax player Bud Shank and Indian musicians and the similar collaboration of alto sax player John Handy, but although I have heard Coe play straight-out jazz, I did not know he ventured into Indian music, I'll try to find a recording of that performance.

Seabreeze: Tony Coe also plays/ played Classical music. He had an ensemble with Alan Hacker.

Wow- that must have been interesting. Are there any recordings that you know of, Ruben?
