I really enjoy the sound of his clarinet and also his relaxed nature. I would be interested to know more about where he plays and what he is doing now.

Carlos has since become principal clarinet with the Philharmonia orchestra in London.

That's brilliant that he's doing so well. I will look out for streamed concerts of his orchestra. I bet they will be good.

Thanks Liquorice. I wondered why he wasn’t showing on the Philharmonia site. Just assumed they were slow to update. Maybe they’re fast! His bio said he was previously at ONdeF. Clearly, these top orchestras know a very good thing when they hear it. I can imagine the conditions and benefits the ONdeF job were able to offer were much better than the those of the Philharmonia.

The CASS GB members’ site doesn’t seem to give access to the whole of past issues of the magazine. It offers a sample of a few pages (6) but you can’t get the whole mag. That was my experience. Bit of a disappointment that. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong. Looks like someone would need to scan and email the article for you, or order a back issue (Volume 45 No.1).

Yes, I think that's right. I just pushed the boat out and joined the International Clarinet Association so this one will have to wait for another year I think.

Thanks so much for posting your magazine to me. I really enjoyed reading the article. It sounds as though Mr Ferreira is a really talented guy with a wonderful foundation in his childhood community music, which is great to hear. I will look forward to following his career.
