I've run across a used Leblanc contrabass for sale (L7182). I'd appreciate any comments/experience anyone might have with this model.
Much appreciated!

I hated mine, the post were installed using threaded inserts but they were not completely tight so the mechanism would bind. Had to make shims for most of the posts. Also because of the thermal expansion rate of the plastic body, the keys need lots of slop in the action to work properly. You also have to sit on a stool to play them. But the worst part was the case. Carrying around a 6 foot long case that weighed a ton was not pleasant.
Save up and get a 342 or even better a paperclip. They aren't that much more expensive than a used Vito contrabass but will be a huge improvement.

Thanks, JDBASS..... I appreciate your input. My gut sort of told me the same thing. I've never played one, but knew someone on the bb would have some insight. Thanks again!
