Trying to get some info an this clarinet

I came across a Jules Legris Paris France stamped clarinet that I would love to know more about. It seems to be in very good condition. It has 4 rings and roller keys. I think not is an Albert. Any ideas? Sorry for the duplicate post. The first froze in the middle!

Not mentioned in Langwill. Can you post pics?

Trying to get pics on. They won't post. Do you have an email I can send them to? Maybe they will post for you...

It is an Albert system instrument. As for the maker, there has been some discussion here:

https://clarinetpages.info/smf/index.php?topic=1258.0

indicating that "Jules Legris" may be the trade name for a stencil line of instruments. There are a lot of these stencil names, of course- Henry Gunckel is one of them. Apparently the name of some prominent French person such as an artist was often chosen for these instruments. Many were then exported to the US and sold under these names by American music companies. Some stencils were made by major French manufacturers, others by smaller workshops, and in general it's hard to say who made what.

I think you found what I did. Interesting that there is not more chatter about it. It really is pretty. I'll post again if I find out more. Thanks for your help!

Great, it looks like you found the info yourself, Bridgette. I have a very similar looking stencil (also having a tab attached above the first ring, being closed both by this ring and by the throat A key). It is marked "Drouelle, Paris" and "Fillmore Music House, Cincinnati." No actual maker named Drouelle appears to have existed.

It's a simple/Albert system with the LH ring keys for a better tuned F# (left thumb only instead of left thumb plus the side F/C key) and side Eb/Bb key.
