Hi all,
I got a pre-R13 buffet that has damaged screw on Lt. E/B key.
I wonder if there is a screw that I can take off a modern clarinet that would fit.
I tried one from Artley and it was too thick, one from a new Buffet was too thick as well.

What do you mean by "Lt."?
Do you mean the left hand lever with a rod screw?

I can't remember the size of the rod and the thread (I'm at home now). Older models had some unusual thread sizes. The other issue for a hinge rod is whether the hinged tube is bent so that the rod can't go all the way through.

yes, left pinky E/B lever (or F#/C#) with a rod screw.
Someone probably destroyed the notch in it, so they shortened it. It works fine, but difficult to get out.

Those are usually made from rod (usually tool steel).
The diameter has to be precise, and both thread pitch and diameter need to be correct.
Maybe someone would have it, but not very likely. Best is probably to have someone make it, or make it yourself if you're willing to get the tools required.

Thanks for all the replies- the existing screw works, so if I can not find a new good one, that's OK.
I thought that I could cannibalize a screw from a cheap plastic clarinet.
