Hi,
I just came by a pre-R13 Buffet. The clarinet has typical stamped trill keys guard and the shared A/G# post.
However, it does have the cut-out undrer the craw foot.
The s/n is 466xx.
What I found after a quick search that the production year could be 1953.
I wonder if the clarinet is considered a straight bore pre-R13 or a transitional model.
It is not playable in its current condition. However I found no cracks (so far).
Thanks

Hi Jen,
unfortunately it does not. I found another page that give approximate production date based on a calculated 3000 units per year, produced between 1940 and 1957.
Edit: just found some interesting info about R13 vs. pre-R13 in this thread:

Anyway, I am going to take it apart tomorrow and see if I can (visually) identify the bore.
