I'm sure this subject has been done to death here, but hopefully you'll indulge me anyway...I'm trying to figure out the correct model number (or name) for a Buffet clarinet I have. I know that it is NOT a pro model, but it is a wood instrument. The thing that is throwing me is that it has the standard Buffet logo (does NOT say Evette & Schaeffer, or Master Modele, or anything like that), however it also does not have a model number under the logo. I know sometimes the markings wear off, but the oval logo is quite clear, so I doubt the number would have worn off. I'm guessing that this is either an E11, or a precursor to the E11. Here are the relevant details...
Standard Buffet oval logo (with nothing else marked on front of instrument)
-logo only appears on top joint and bell
stamped "made in W. Germany" on back of lower joint
Serial number 242,xxx on both joints
No cutout under crow's foot
Thanks in advance for your help!

Sounds like an E11. It's not rare that the engraved Buffet logo is there but the model name wears off. I just saw one exactly like that yesterday.

The Buffet logo was engraved bu the model designation was a stick-on label, which wore off after a while.
