Hi everyone
Recently just bought this vandoren for a very small sum that I couldn’t say no to.
Just ordered some cork to repair it.
Anyone played one of these before or currently play with one ?
I currently play on a h freeman ny mouthpiece.

Now you need to find some 0.5 strength reeds.

My regular MP is a 5JB with a 2.5-3 Vandoren Rue 56 or LaVoz M. I easily go from pop to jazz to classical by controlling air flow. I've been interested in just how much more open the 7 feels but not enough to spring for one.

Basically, it is like playing an alto sax mouthpiece on clarinet, LOL

Couldn’t agree more lol. Managed to get the cork sorted out and have a little play on it and it’s definitely not me. Luckily only cost me £10 for this mouthpiece

The 7JB just had to much airflow for me and I couldn’t quite keep in control of it. Im not a professional so might be different to some other members from here

I've swapped full time to a 5JB, after years on Portnoys, as as sax-doubler , I do wonder ? how free-blowing is the 7JB- does it 'feel' like a sax mouthpiece?
Also, does it work well in upper altissimo?
