I'm wondering if anyone owns one of these cases and what they think about them? I saw on the Wiseman website that the single cases are covered in leatherette and the double cases are covered in leather. Has anyone seen or own these cases and is able to comment on leatherette vs. leather? Thanks.

Yes, I have had one. Buy the leatherete version?. Would you buy a Porsche & put an underpowered Volkswagen engine in it? NO, i would buy the best leather that Wiseman has to offer.
The Wiseman cases are very nice, very unique, and very expensive! I think they work well @ the cost of as brand new Buffet E-11. I picked a demo model up at (well) below dealer of cost.

So where'd you pick up a demo? Are Wisemans available only through mail order or does anyone carry them at the retail level?

Leatherette is not an option on their single cases. They told me because of the smaller size of the single case leather does not work well. That's why I'm asking if anyone has a single case and what the covering is like. Their webiste specifically says the single case is covered in leatherette.

I meant to say leather is not an option on their single cases. Their single cases only come in leatherette.

Yes, and the cases I had & have ssen are double soprano clarinet (although they sell much bugger stuff for bass, etc).
Saw what claimed to be a lightly-used wiseman double case recently for $300.
Best,
mw
PS I have seen varying prices for the single soprano ... $335 & $525 ... pretty big variance @ $525 for a Leatherette case, huh?
