Is it a wooden or plastic/bakelite Normandy?

I'm after just the lower joint (without keys) for an earlier bakelite one, but Normandy and older Vito clarinets are very thin on the ground in the UK.

It's nice when you buy something and it comes with hidden extras that make it all worthwhile. I was browsing eBay to get a rough idea how much Yamaha 211S flutes tend to go for one evening after a gig and one listing said "Flute Yamaha" with the Buy it now price of £309.99 (+ £10 postage), only there was a photo of an alto sax and on closer inspection it was a late YAS-62 before they were replaced by the 62II. I hit that Buy it now button in a heartbeat as I knew it wouldn't be on there for long if I dithered. I could see the shank of a metal mouthpiece in the case which looked suspiciously like a Lawton. Then it arrived and it was the late 62 alto and the cherry on top was a Lawton 6*BB mouthpiece which is one I've been wanting as it's a bit closer than the 7*BB I normally use, so it was ideal for orchestral use or if I wanted a generally easier going mouthpiece. I overhauled the sax and used it for a while as a parade band instrument it had a lyre box (which my 875EX doesn't have), then sold it on for considerably more than the £320 I bought it for.

wow thats a great story chris- a yam 62 AND a lawton. lawtons were the premium mps here in usa before the desighner gardala,s and theo wayne etc. very rare here . sadly this is a very late normandy with usa on it. its not what you are looking for. will keep eyes open tho. played the blayman-its very good.
