I am searching for a clarinet solo that does not require a piano accompanist. After not having played the past year, a high intermediate level would be appropriate. I perform for a group of musicians once a month at a "Musicians Anonymous" gathering (tongue-in-cheek). We each perform a little something then we have dessert! It's a fun evening and I'd like to perform something rather lighthearted. If you could make any suggestions, I would be most grateful.

Have you already ruled any obvious ones out? I would have tried the victorian kitchen garden music as it stands alone nicely without the piano accompaniment think, but maybe you already thought of that and decided not?
It seems to me that a lot of pieces with piano accompaniment could be good without it too, but do you want something that is specifically a solo piece?

The Clarinet Polka can be played unacc. and with varied tempo. If you don't have a copy and want one, let me know. It's only 1 page.

I've not heard of the Victorian Kitchen Gardens! But, I just checked it out on youtube...beautiful music. THank you for the suggestion.
