i bought 2 like new hite eb mpcs on ebay for the increadable bargin price of 10$ for both. even tho i allready have excellent selmer and a vandoreen mpc for eb clarinet -i couldnt pass these up. with regular reeds they were both satisfactory but not as good as my selmer or vandoreen mpcs. then i slapped on the legre euro cut reed and wow! this is a killer combo. tunning is improved on my bundy(yes its only a bundy} and dynamic range also i can whisper high notes and not go flat. effortless to play. i am assuming these are the later ones made by babbit and not hand finished by dave or jean, but i gotta say i am impressed.

So my question is doesn’t the Selmer and the Legere a better combination?

the legre works even better on the hite for me. i admit i havnt tried it on my best selmer hs** as it needs a new cork. beats the vandy b44 and regular hs* by a small margin.
