A series 9 is a large bore instrument, while the 10G is a narrower bored instrument discussed elsewhere on this bboard (I play one btw and love it).

I would expect the barrel from the 10G to cause some intonation problems on the large bore middle sections, and also issues with uneven resistance between different notes.

There might be similar issues with the bell, but less extreme.

That said, if the price is good, go for it, the Series 9 is a highly regarded Jazz and Blues instrument and you could probably source a custom or vintage S9 barrel (there's one on that auction site now) with a larger bore that fixes the above issues.

Good luck!
