Hi there, anyone have any fingering suggestions for altissimo b?
I use...
TR xxo xxo Eb
And in fast scales sometimes...
OOO OOO + throat Bb fingering
But looking for something that works better for a 3 octave jump....
Any suggestion?
Thanks
Donald Nicholls

3-octaves would mean jumping between B3 (low B) and B6 (altissimo B). Finger the low B with the rh middle finger, then add the register key, the l pinky C#/G# key, and the lh throat G# key to produce the altissimo B. That altissimo fingering is better in tune on my R13s than others mentioned above, which tend sharp for me.

Ah thanks Chris, that's basically "my fingering" with different venting, and it speaks slightly better for me (which is what I was looking for).
Philip- thanks that works and it's really useful to know another fingering, I'm not going to use it this time, but I bet that'll come in handy sooner or later.
BTW the 2nd fingering I mention above is quite useful if playing the Ginastera variation solo high bit on the C clarinet...
