 The Incredible Lightness of Luyben
Author: BethGraham

I thought I'd post a quick first impression of the Luyben ligature here, rather at the end of the over-long thread that Paul began some time ago.

I got it today, and really like it so far. I'm not sure yet if it's a "game changer," but think it'll do the job very nicely with my Legere reeds. I'm perceiving my tone with it as somewhat brighter and more focused than with my Rovner Dark. In a few days I'll compare it with the Spriggs I have on loan from a friend. I suspect I'll like the Spriggs and the Luyben equally well.

I just wish I could have ordered a purple one through Amazon to jazz up my setup.

Thanks again for the recommendation, Paul!
