 Help identifying vintage clarinet
Author: eussiaj

Hi, the other day I found a clearly old clarinet and bought it for about 30 USD.

It's a Carl Fischer from Italy and is actually in fairly good shape besides the pad to the register key missing (which, to be frank, partly my fault). It has metal though near the bridge on the 2nd joint, and I've never seen a clarinet with that.

I was wondering if you guys could recognize this clarinet and pinpoint an age?

Carl Fischer was not the maker, it was a music store that bought the instruments in from a maker unlabelled and put their own name on them. This one seems to have had a crack repaired with a metal sleeve over the top of the lower joint.
